Final thoughts of the month

Written 07/10/2025

I will admit, I feel... okay I guess? I had a very busy September (pretty much every weekend I had SOMETHING going on so I knew that I would be a bit behind on this art project) so considering all of that the fact that I have managed to get it done in the first week of October isn't *too* bad XD

I don't think I enjoyed this month as much as I was hoping to, I was REALLY excited to do Marjorie Miller based on seeing her art but since there isn't much known about her I struggled to really get a good 'feel' for her like I did for the other artists - I knew nothing of her art process for one and I don't feel any wiser now than I did in early September! I think I had underestimated how important that aspect of art really is.

That being said, I did have a good enough time with it. I learnt how to layer watercolour paint to get surprisingly saturated colours (albeit, it was black) and I was happy that I managed to keep the moon white just from the paper and didn't need to use white gouache as I think that would have ruined the 'look' of the painting.
